Starting a Small Food Business in Arkansas: Cottage Food
Since 2011, Arkansas has allowed residents to sell certain non-hazardous food items direct to the public under the Cottage Food Law. These “cottage foods” are specific types of food that are made in home kitchens, however, not all foods can be made at home and sold to the public. This webinar is intended for food entrepreneurs and small home-based food businesses. We will discuss the 2011 Arkansas Cottage Food Law, allowable/unallowable food products, and food safety practices as well as hear from a panel of cottage food producers.
